Case Studies

Selected engagements

A selection of work across piping integrity, vibration, fatigue, and technical authority scopes.

Featured engagements

Hydrogen — Energy Transition
Aberdeen Energy Hub
Aberdeen, Scotland
2025 - 2026
FIVAIVSBCH₂
First-of-kind integrity assessment on high-pressure hydrogen tubing at a UK energy transition facility.
Challenge

A high-pressure hydrogen tubing scope required a defensible vibration and fatigue assessment in an operating context where conventional hydrocarbon assumptions were not directly transferable.

Approach

Emveedo applied EI 3160 methodology across the tubing systems, documenting hydrogen-specific adjustments with reference to ASME B31.12 and relevant hydrogen service guidance.

Outcome

The work established a clear integrity baseline before commissioning, identified lines requiring support modification, and created a repeatable technical basis for future hydrogen assessments.

Chemicals — FEED Design Review

2024
FIVAIVSBCFEED
Independent cold-eye review identified non-conservative vibration assumptions before detailed design commitment.
Challenge

The client required an independent view of FEED-stage vibration screening, separate from the EPC team that had produced the original design and assessment.

Approach

Emveedo carried out an independent FIV, AIV, and SBC assessment using FEED documentation, checking each excitation mechanism against EI 3160 criteria and documenting divergence from prior conclusions. [12 lines]

Outcome

Several assumptions were found to be non-conservative, and support modifications were defined before detailed design commitment, avoiding later-stage rework and strengthening the client’s technical basis.
